ATVOpenly gay actor Rupert Everett has said he’ll leave the country if the Tories win the next general election. The actor made the remarks during an interview with The Guardian newspaper. The actor is probably best known for his roles in; Shakespeare In Love, My Best Friend's Wedding, Shrek 2 and St Trinian's.

"I'm not going to stay if David Cameron gets in. Because they're posh. I don't believe them. And I don't want the country run from yachts." – Rupert Everett talking to The Guardian.

The actor is no stranger to making controversial statements in the past. His comments regarding the death of singer Michael Jackson came under fire from some quarters. The Sun newspaper recently switched its allegiance from Labour to the Tories – a move which has come under fire from the Government and even the papers own readers.
