For the second week in a row ratings for SyFy’s new series Caprica, a prequel to Battlestar Galactica, have risen after several episodes of declining ratings. Friday night’s episode on SyFy, Know Thy Enemy, was up on last week’s instalment. According to rating figures the episode was seen by 1.15 million people up on the 1.12 million who saw last week’s episode. Although it’s only a small increase it is still good news for Caprica after the prequel series which originally plagued by declining ratings for its first three episodes. Any rise, no matter how small, is a welcome one and two weeks of rises is most definitely reassuring for the future of the series. In the UK Caprica airs on Sky One and Know Thy Enemy will air on tomorrow evening [Tuesday] on the channel. Caprica is set 50 years before the events of Battlestar Galactica and chronicles the development and rise of the Cylons on the colonies from the point of view of two families on lead world Caprica; the rich Graystones and the poorer Adama’s who are immigrants from Tauron. The show stars Eric Stoltz, Esai Morales, Paula Malcolmson, Alessandra Torresani, Magda Aponwicz, Sasha Roiz, Polly Walker and Brian Markinson.
