They’ll be several Doctor Who related programmes on BBC Radio 7 in the coming months as part of the digital station’s 7th Dimension strand. In April three BBC Audio Books will be broadcast on BBC Radio 7; The Giant Robot, The Brian of Morbius and Creature from the Pitt and all are adaptations of the original Target series of novelisations. The audio books are read by Fourth Doctor actor Tom Baker. It’s not the first time Doctor Who has featured as part of the 7th Dimension strand of programming with previous related material including a series of new audio adventures starring Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor.

The memoirs of Doctor Who producer Barry Letts, who sadly passed away last year, will be broadcast over the several weeks from the end of March. The memoirs are from his autobiography Barry Letts – Who and Me and are read by the late producer himself. Letts was producer on the series between 1970 and 1975 over seeing the Jon Pertwee years and later the casting of Tom Baker in the role of the Time Lord. Letts returned in 1979/1980 as Executive Producer of Doctor Who to oversee the first season of John Nathan Turner’s tenure as producer.
