The new spin-off, Blood and Chrome, will consist of ten episodes at nine minutes long. The series has yet to be formally commissioned and is still in development and is likely the second spin-off referred to previously by Syfy as being developed by Ron Moore and Michael Taylor. If commissioned it’ll be the second spin-off in the Galactica universe with prequel series Caprica - which is set before the war - having been launched earlier this year. The Cylon War sits between Caprica and Battlestar Galactica effectively making Blood and Chrome a sequel to Caprica but a prequel to Battlestar Galactica.

The flashbacks featured the character of William Adama who found a Cylon base where they were experimenting on humans. The new web-based spin-off is likely to take its lead from the Razor scenes.
