The Sarah Jane Adventures has been nominated for a Royal The spin-off has previously been nominated for a Children’s Bafta in 2008 and in 2009 was nominated for a Welsh Bafta – both times in the Drama Category. In the recent third season actor David Tennant crossed over to the spin-off for two episodes as the 10th Doctor. John Leeson has also reprised his role of the voice of K-9 for the spin-off in numerous episodes and Nicholas Courtney reprised his Doctor Who role of Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart for two episodes in the show’s second season.

Television Society award. The CBBC drama has been nominated in the Children’s Drama category and is up against MI High and Roy – all of which are CBBC drama’s. The Sarah Jane Adventures is a spin-off from Doctor Who and stars Elisabeth Sladen as former companion to the Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith. So far three seasons of the spin-off have been produced to critical acclaim and good ratings. While a fourth season has yet to be officially announced by the BBC it is widely expected to happen.
