There were things that we really wanted to encapsulate in the 200th, and we literally sat around for days trying to bring it together, and suddenly Brainiac popped in and it all fell into place." - Kelly Soulders quoted on Blastr
Since the demise of Angel in 2004 James Marsters has been very busy guest starring in a wide range of shows such as Without A Trace and Lie To Me. In 2008 he appeared in two episodes of the British sci fi series Torchwood as the bisexual Captain John. Fans of Torchwood are hopeful that Marsters will feature in the announced fourth season of the Doctor Who spin-off which will air next year and is being co-produced by the BBC and Starz.
Earlier this year Marsters guest starred in two episodes of Caprica, the Battlestar Galactica prequel, in which he played terrorist leader Barnabas. It’s expected his character will feature within the remaining episodes of Caprica when the series returns to Syfy next year. The actor has also appeared in the pilot for CBS’s new version of Hawaii Five-O and its expected he’ll reprise his role in the weekly series.
