Grace Park joins Hawaii Five-O

Battlestar Galactica actress Grace Park has won a role in the new Hawaii Five-O pilot from CBS. The actress will play Kona Kalakaua in the pilot for the proposed new series – the character is the niece of Lost actor Daniel Dae Kim’s character. Also amongst the cast of the pilot is actor Alex O’Loughlin who recently agreed to join the pilot after weeks of speculation. In the critically acclaimed sci fi Park played Cylon Boomer/Athena and multiple copies thereof of the Cylon Model Number 8.

Yesterday it was announced that another Galactica actor had landed a role on a prime-time production with James Callis joining the cast of Flashforward. Elsewhere and Galactica actors seem to be in high demand with Katee Sackhoff, who played Starbuck in the sci fi, is currently appearing in the new season of 24 and has signed up for a new pilot on ABC while Tricia Helfer, who played Caprica Six and variations of Model Number 6, will be appearing in TNT cop-drama Dark Blue. It was also recently announced that Michael Trucco, who played Cylon Samuel Anders, will guest-star in a forthcoming episode of ABC’s remake of V. Jamie Bamber, who played Apollo, is continuing work on ITV1’s version of Law & Order.
