According to Entertaimnet Weekly Fox’s sci fi series Fringe has been renewed for a third season. Although ratings have been down on last year – due to tough competition – Fox are reportedly happily enough to commission a third season with the promise to fans of more guest appearances by Leonard Nimroy. Fringe has been averaging around 8 million per episode for its second season and new episodes are due to return to Fox in April. Fox has yet to officially confirm the renewal but sources close to Fringe have told EW its third season is in the bag.
